Scan Problem When I initiate a scan, not to print, but to save to my computer, from Word I go to insert: picture: from scanner, and I select Custom Insert. I get the ScanGear window and if I select Scan or Preview the MP160 begins humming and it tells me not to open the cover because it is processing calibration data. Then it tells me it is scanning. Then suddenly I get an error message saying it cannot communicate with the printer because the cable may be lose or the printer is not turned on

Try using a lower resolution for your scan... also this is a known problem for windows vista what o.s. are you using?

We did not find results for: scan problem when i initiate a scan not to print but to save to my computer from word i go to insert picture from scanner and i select custom insert i get the scangear window and if i select scan or preview the mp160 begins humming and it tells me not to open the cover because it is processing calibration data then it tells me it is scanning then suddenly i get an error message saying it cannot communicate with the printer because the cable may be lose or the printer is not turned on or whatever scanner driver will be closed of course it has been communicating with the printer all along what is going on the error message is code 2 155 0 the same thing happens if i just push the scan button on the printer and follow the instructions on my monitor it begins a scan and then tells me it can t communicate with the printer.
