Using Canoscan program start to scan, Message given :"adjusting lamp" Then after peroid of time Message given: "Can not scan, Reason: Lamp may not be warmed up." Lamp does light. Should be warm in 5 minutes. Orginal problem was no power. Bought replacement power adapter. Now have lamp problem. when acquiring from scanner it does not complete and gives reasons as bulb heating or object out of place etc. I checked scanner in control panel and it passes tests.
