Dell photo 924. Can not access the ''Print in black and white only'' button on the screen. This used to be the default setting but since not being used for three months it has changed.Cannot even email Dell since warranty expired.

Ok, listen here "techabhishek"... u r the expert, im the noob!!! this is why i love to hate people like u! Stephenhop, dude, i fix the problem... do this: 1- Get the document u want to print opened on MS Word or just open up MS Word. 2- Go to File, then Print. (not Page Setup). 3- On the top right corner, select Properties. 4- Select the second tab labeled Advanced. 5- Bottom left corner of the window, select More Options. 6- Unclick "Use color cartridge for all black printing". 7- Click on "Use black cartridge to print in black and white". 8- Close all windows by selecting the "OK" button. Should be three windows. 9- If u can, please slap the hell out of the expert who would have u mess with the drivers of the printer instead of doin a little reasearch on the options themselves aka DOIN HIS JOB. 10- Its always better to wait a little longer for a noob (newbie) to take it upon him/herself to FIND the right answer.
It looks like a problem with the Printer application. Try uninstalling the printer drivers using the utility http://ftp.us.dell.com/printer/R166248.zip .Then install the drivers from the support website.
